"Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?" Mary Oliver
As the daughter of immigrants growing up in England, I always new that there were other ways of living. My mother used to tell me about her walks to school along the beach in Mauritius and we often visited Dublin, my father's hometown. It was natural that I would want to explore the world. I studied Latin American Studies at university. Part of that course was a year living and studying in Mexico. I have also been lucky enough to live in Australia, India, and Spain, where I have recently moved back to for the second time.
Living abroad has always meant new adventures and new learnings. Its been a way to see life from a different perspective, even living life in another language. I know what its like to fall in love with a new country and I know how too much red tape can make you question your decision. I've learnt that creating a life that brings your values to life is the path to true happiness and that moving abroad helps us do this. The positive changes that we make when we move abroad and the person that we become when we are there are often just as powerful in creating a wonderful experience as the country itself.
My career has included language teaching, training and development, facilitation and recruitment and now coaching. I trained as a Co-Active coach with the Coaches Training Institute the largest in-person coach training school in the world. What I love about my work is that I get to see people creating lives the way they want them to be, self-confidently taking brave action to live those lives that they had previously only dreamed about. Coaching is empowering to the client and I am always touched and honoured to be with people on their journey of growth and change.
